I’m just someone using an old radio to catch the heat of trending topics, and recently I’ve been repeatedly taught by “mainnet is expensive, L2 is smooth.” When I keep making small transfers back and forth, and the mainnet twitches, gas is like cranking the volume to the maximum—suddenly I lose interest; but hiding entirely in L2 isn’t foolproof either. Sometimes you have to go back and forth, with a bunch of bridge prompts, and the experience is still pretty discouraging. These days I basically do this: small daily transactions and some interactions on L2; if I really want to store things long-term and not move them much, I go back to the mainnet only once to do it in one shot. I’d rather wait for a low-gas window.
Then over the past couple of days, I’ve also seen everyone interpret ETF fund flows, US stock risk appetite, and crypto market uptrends and downtrends—honestly, once the narrative gets hot, on-chain activity gets even more crowded, and gas starts to feel more like an emotional indicator. Anyway, I’ll just go slower—don’t switch channels during the noisiest moments.
