Shanghai launches the country's first mixed reality embodied intelligent training ground

On March 14, it was learned from the 2026 Shanghai Global Investment Promotion Conference that, to accelerate the deep integration of intelligent robots into the real economy, Shanghai has launched the country’s first virtual-real convergence embodied intelligence training ground. The facility provides services such as data collection and technical validation for humanoid robots, and more than 100 heterogeneous robots have already “entered for on-site training.” At the same time, working together with Shanghai Electric, SAIC Motor, municipal nursing homes, and others, Shanghai is building a number of practical scenarios in sectors such as industry and elder care.
