These past two days, the group chat has been so packed with information that it’s like rain, and KOLs are there too, blasting us with waves of “narrative.” To be honest, the final decision to buy on impulse is still confirmed by your own tap on the confirmation button, but I also don’t really want to dump all the blame on individuals: the group atmosphere + forwarding screenshots + “if you don’t follow, you’ll miss out” kind of thing really does make it easy to drag people into their emotions.
Recently, social mining and the whole setup of fan tokens have been trending again—“attention is mining.” It sounds pretty reasonable, but in reality it’s more like burning your attention as fuel… I’m using it as practice now: when I see the hype, I turn off notifications first; then I switch to a perspective that only looks at on-chain permissions or contract addresses. And if I still get restless, I go try it with a test small account first—don’t come in with your main wallet right away. After all, what makes you impulsive often also makes you regret it later.
