Iranian officials: If the U.S. does not accept the ten-point plan, the Supreme Leader will not approve the ceasefire agreement.

On April 8th, local time, Iranian Islamic Parliament Deputy Speaker Ali Nikzad stated that if the U.S. does not accept Iran’s proposed ten-point ceasefire terms, Iran’s Supreme Leader will not approve signing the ceasefire agreement. Nikzad also said that the Strait of Hormuz will not return to its original state. That day, an informed source said that Iran’s “Ten-Point Plan” has been accepted as the basis for the ceasefire agreement. The source emphasized that Iran previously rejected the U.S. proposal of a “Fifteen-Point Plan” and clearly stated that any ceasefire must be based on the U.S. accepting Iran’s proposed plan, and that U.S. President Donald Trump must give formal approval. Previously, Pakistani Prime Minister Shabaz Sharif confirmed that Iran, the U.S., and their respective allies agreed to an immediate ceasefire at all locations, including Lebanon and other regions, effective immediately.
