Iranian President's Open Letter to the American People
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi issues a public letter to the American people. The letter states that the Iranian people harbor no hostility towards other countries; it is the United States that has gathered a large number of military bases and military forces around Iran, creating a military threat to Iran. Iran has taken and will continue to take responses based on legitimate self-defense rights, and these are not acts of war or aggression. Raisi emphasizes that the destructive impact of U.S. sanctions, wars, and invasions on the lives of the Iranian people cannot be underestimated; attacking Iran’s critical infrastructure, including energy and industrial infrastructure, constitutes war crimes. Raisi further questions whether the current U.S. policies truly align with “America First.” He states that the United States has now become a proxy for Israel, targeting Iran, with its policies heavily influenced and manipulated by the Israeli regime. Meanwhile, Israel attempts to divert international attention from its crimes in Palestine by deliberately creating the “Iran threat theory.” Additionally, Raisi invites the American public to go beyond political rhetoric, to re-examine Iran’s past, present, and future vision—a future of peace based not on confrontation, but on truth, dignity, and mutual understanding.
