These days, someone asked me again: should I go on the mainnet or stick with Layer 2? Honestly, ordinary people are just bouncing back and forth between "cheaper gas" and "not too much hassle when using"... Mainnet is like going out in a thunderstorm—there's a sense of security, but the taxi fare is expensive; Layer 2 is more like light rain turning cloudy, faster to walk, but occasionally stepping into puddles (bridges, delayed transactions, chain swaps). My current compromise is: try to keep daily interactions on Layer 2, and only move to the mainnet for long-term holdings or large transactions—I'd rather spend a bit more gas for peace of mind.
Recently, testnet incentives and token expectations have heated up again, and the group is guessing every day whether the mainnet will issue tokens. I’m not taking sides anymore; I only keep track of "what I did," not "what others say they will give," or my emotions would be more volatile than candlestick charts.
That’s all for now. I’m going to record today’s interactions and gas expenses in the spreadsheet.
