Recently, I’ve been watching L2 and it’s again about TPS, transaction fees, ecosystem subsidies… Honestly, I care more about “who can press the pause button if something goes wrong” and whether the person holding the button is reliable. Beginners want to read for credibility, but I think don’t focus on the narrative first, look at three things: Is the GitHub update regular (not just a show with a bunch of changes every day), does the audit report clearly state known issues + follow-up fixes, and how many keys are involved in the multi-signature upgrade, who holds them, can they be replaced, and is there a timelock (giving everyone a reaction time).

A life analogy is like renting a house: no matter how good the renovation sounds, it’s better to check the landlord’s credentials, maintenance records, and whether the door lock can be opened at any time by the landlord alone… I find flipping through these before bed more hypnotic than looking at K-line charts, because the biggest risk always lies in “permissions.”
