Ministry of Civil Affairs and Ministry of Finance: Accelerate the Implementation of Elderly Care Service Consumption Subsidy Projects
On March 12, the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Finance jointly held a nationwide video conference to promote the work of the elderly care service consumption subsidy program and accelerate its implementation. The meeting pointed out that the elderly care service consumption subsidy program, as an innovative “investment in people” policy in the field of service consumption, involves a wide scope, strong policy orientation, and high operational requirements. Overall, the current subsidy program has been widely welcomed by many disabled elderly people and their families, and has received broad praise from all sectors of society. The meeting required that localities should adhere to goal-oriented and effect-oriented approaches, take effective measures, liberate thoughts, broaden ideas, continuously amplify the effects of the subsidy program, and accelerate the progress of project implementation. They should focus on the needs of the elderly, further improve the accessibility and convenience of services; motivate various service providers to actively participate, and continuously expand effective supply; optimize information systems and service platforms, and continuously improve payment experiences; and establish comprehensive supervision of services and funds throughout the entire chain to effectively safeguard safety bottom lines.
