Admits to plagiarism, Great Wall Motors Chairman publicly responds: Apologizes to Land Rover
In response to the recent heated online discussion about the “Wei brand new car poster suspected of plagiarism” controversy, on the evening of March 6th, Great Wall Motor Chairman Wei Jianjun officially issued a public statement, admitting to the plagiarism and apologizing. Wei Jianjun stated in the video: “Yesterday, Wei brand officially announced me as the spokesperson for V9X and released a poster. Careful netizens noticed that the poster I took had suspected plagiarism. I have seen all the comments from netizens. After investigation, that poster indeed was plagiarized, and there is no excuse. Here, I apologize to Land Rover, to the original poster designer, and to the trusting netizens and friends.” (Shanghai Observer News)
