OpenAI releases GPT-5.4-Cyber model, open to security personnel with low refusal capabilities

Mars Finance reports that OpenAI announced the release of the GPT-5.4-Cyber model, which is based on GPT-5.4 and fine-tuned for cybersecurity scenarios. Under certain conditions, it reduces the restrictions on refusing safety-related requests to support specialized operations such as binary reverse engineering.
It is introduced that this model is only accessible through the “Trusted Access for Cybersecurity” (TAC) program to verified security vendors, corporate security teams, and researchers. OpenAI states that the related layered mechanism will limit the scope of model usage and impose additional constraints on access in low-visibility scenarios.
