The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has closed its investigation into Tesla’s “smart summon” feature after concluding that software updates addressed concerns. The feature, which allows remote movement of vehicles over short distances, was primarily linked to low-speed incidents causing minor property damage, with no reported injuries or fatalities. Regulators decided that the low frequency and severity of incidents, coupled with the implemented fixes, did not warrant further action.
