Shandong Iron & Steel announced on April 2nd that, in accordance with the “Company Law of the People’s Republic of China” and relevant laws, regulations, normative documents, and the company’s articles of association, combined with the company’s actual operational development needs, Mr. Guo Xiaolong, a candidate for director, was elected by the shareholders’ meeting to serve as a director of the company. The board of directors plans to elect Mr. Guo Xiaolong as the Chairman of the Eighth Board of Directors, the Chairperson of the Strategic Planning and ESG Committee, and a member of the Nomination Committee of the board, with a term lasting until the current board’s term expires.

Previously, on April 1st, the leadership meeting of Shandong Steel Group was held, announcing personnel appointment and removal decisions: Comrade Guo Xiaolong was appointed as a member of the Party Committee, Standing Committee member, Deputy Secretary, Director, and General Manager of Shandong Steel Group; Comrade Mao Zhanhong was no longer serving as Deputy Secretary, Standing Committee member, Party Committee member, Director, or General Manager of Shandong Steel Group.

Guo Xiaolong, male, born in October 1977, is a member of the Communist Party of China. After graduating in 1999 from Wuhan University of Automotive Industry with a degree in Metal Materials and Heat Treatment from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, he began working. He is currently the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director, and General Manager of Shandong Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd., and the Party Secretary of Shandong Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. He has previously served as Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee and Chairman of the Trade Union at Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. Hot Rolled Plant, Party Secretary of the Tinned Plate Plant, Deputy Secretary and Disciplinary Committee Secretary of the Zhanjiang Steel Party Committee of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., Standing Committee member of the Disciplinary Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of Zhanjiang Steel, Vice General Manager of Zhanjiang Steel, Deputy Secretary and General Manager of the Steel Pipe and Bar Steel Business Department, General Manager Assistant and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Steel Pipe and Bar Steel Business Department, General Manager Assistant of Baoshan Iron & Steel Co., Ltd., and Director of the Operations Center (Safety Supervision Department) and Procurement and Business Management Office, among other positions.
