China Petroleum Changqing Oilfield Oil Extraction Factory No. 10 Launches a "Ten Compared, Ten Competition" Production Surge
In April, when spring blossoms and the weather fluctuates between warm and cold, China Petroleum Changqing Oilfield’s No. 10 Oil Production Plant focuses on high-quality development goals. Using the theme of “100 Days of Focused Effort, Practical Action to Achieve New Success” as a driving force, it launches a comprehensive “Ten Comparisons, Ten Competitions” campaign centered on stable old well production, new well startup, and mode transformation to increase output. This initiative aims to ignite a surge in production activities, laying a solid foundation for annual production and operation.
The mature oilfield practices meticulous management, with measures and wells competing for efficiency. As an oilfield developed over many years, the plant regards precise water injection as the cornerstone of stable production, formulating plans tailored to key reservoirs on a well-by-well basis. Technical staff intensify daily on-site verification of measures and well liquid discharge, closely monitoring pressure and output changes; newly drilled wells strictly follow the “quick water discharge, optimal parameters” approach. Focusing on unlocking the potential of old well reservoirs, to date, 103 wells have been completed, resulting in an incremental oil gain of 4,230 tons, maximizing well capacity through precise processes.
Data accuracy drives precision, management boosts efficiency. On the plant’s production command center large screen, real-time updates of all oil well production are displayed. Since the beginning of the year, the timeliness of production management data release has reached 100%, with both timeliness and accuracy rates maintained at 100%, and dispatch log processing also at full capacity. Every data point—from collection and review to reporting—is assigned to responsible personnel, strictly avoiding a “close enough” attitude.
Competitions energize staff, revealing true capabilities on the front lines. The plant insists that “good work and mediocre work are different,” with rewards and penalties directly linked to individuals, and strict enforcement becoming a common phrase among all staff. Currently, all levels of production meetings are attended punctually, with dispatch instructions forming a closed-loop management system. The Huaping Operations Area’s centers efficiently advance key tasks such as well injection, chemical addition, and thermal cleaning, fully utilizing “watermark cameras” to record real-time conditions and ensure traceability of the entire operation process. The Yuancheng Operations Area’s technical personnel conduct in-depth field inspections, tailoring measures to accurately diagnose oil and water well conditions, continuously enhancing targeted interventions.
Safety and environmental protection are managed simultaneously, with proactive preparations for potential issues. The plant employs the highest standards and strictest measures to build a comprehensive safety net, strictly implementing safety pre-approval checks and start-up acceptance procedures for contractors—each approved project proceeds, and violations like “secret work” are firmly stopped. Meanwhile, preparations for flood season reinforcement and spring electrical inspections are carried out concurrently. A ledger is established for hazard inspections, drainage systems, and structural safety among five key areas, ensuring engineering quality withstands the test of the rainy season. Electrical maintenance adopts a focused, regional approach to minimize power outage durations. “Every improvement in power supply capability increases our initiative in crude oil production,” said the head of the production operation department.
With the wind strong and tides rising, it is time to set sail and forge ahead. The No. 10 Oil Production Plant, driven by a sense of “never letting our guard down,” integrates meticulous management into every link, using competitions to motivate work and improve quality. It strives to accelerate stable and increasing production, delivering a solid performance to meet annual production and operational goals through practical efforts. (Huang Hui)
