Genki Forest Innovation Institute Launches, Tang Binsen: "An Experimental Line Capable of Facing the Future"

Xinjing News (Reporter: Wang Ziyang) On March 31, Xinjing News reporters learned that Yuanqi Forest’s Xianning Innovation Institute—an all-in-one research, development, and innovation testing base—was officially unveiled. The new products such as Yuanqi Forest Baihua Sparkling Water and Mountain Haw Three Gentlemen, which were launched during the Yuanqi Forest Creation Camp 2044 event, will be the first to go into production on the pilot production lines at the Xianning Innovation Institute. As a core component of the China Central health beverage R&D center jointly built by the Xianning municipal government and Yuanqi Forest, the project has gone into use, marking the full implementation of Yuanqi Forest’s R&D strategy layout driven by a dual-core model of “Beijing + Xianning.”

The Yuanqi Forest Xianning Innovation Institute mainly takes responsibility for innovations in new products along the group’s future core tracks, technology development and validation, small-batch pilot tests and mid-scale tests of innovative products, and continuous trial production validation. As the first experimental factory nationwide that “only serves R&D,” the Yuanqi Forest Xianning Innovation Institute provides ample on-site space and resource support for research and development trial-and-error. On the one hand, the innovation institute can grant young R&D personnel sufficient resource authorization, establish an innovation culture of “allowing failure and encouraging experimentation,” and enable the R&D team to boldly explore cutting-edge technologies and innovative categories, releasing innovation energy to the maximum extent; on the other hand, relying on Yuanqi Forest’s long-term R&D accumulation, the innovation institute will fully implement core exclusive technologies such as liquid nitrogen freshness locking and non-manual colorant processes, using industrialized methods to reproduce the flavors and quality of handmade production, bringing products endlessly closer to handcrafted quality.

It is understood that the Yuanqi Forest Innovation Research Institute has introduced more than 200 advanced experimental instruments and testing equipment, such as high-efficiency liquid chromatography and atomic absorption spectrometers, providing ample space and a platform for simultaneous experiments by more than 100 R&D personnel. While the experimental base absorbs interns from universities to participate in professional study and product R&D, it also collaborates with well-known domestic and international research institutions such as Zhejiang University, Jiangnan University, and China Agricultural University. It focuses on the development of trend-oriented healthy beverages and the validation of product production processes, carrying out in-depth industry-university-research cooperation.

Over the next three years, the trial production site of the Yuanqi Forest Innovation Institute is expected to serve 500 beverage companies and develop 2,000 new products. The pilot production base will serve 500 beverage companies and produce 15 million cartons of healthy beverages. Yuanqi Forest founder Tang Binshen said: “For so many years of making beverages, one of the challenges we’ve always faced is that we want to explore many processes and try to do many things. The landing of the Xianning Innovation Institute is a future-facing experimental line built according to our ideals and our future plans. I believe that building this lab will give us more confidence and capability to continue making even better products—with care and love.”
