Iranian Foreign Minister calls on Saudi Arabia: "It's time to drive out the U.S. troops"
Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi said in a social media post in the evening of the 30th that Iran respects Saudi Arabia and regards it as a “brotherly country,” and that Iran’s military action is aimed at “hostile aggressors.” He said, “It’s time to drive the U.S. military out.”
Araghchi also said in the post that Iran’s actions are targeted at those “hostile aggressors who do not respect Arabs or Iranians and cannot provide any security guarantees—just look at what we did to their air command and control system.” The accompanying photo shows an image of a U.S. military aircraft that was severely damaged.
The Iranian Tasnim News Agency on the 29th, citing a report from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps public relations department, said that a U.S. Air Force E-3 “Sentry” airborne early warning aircraft was “destroyed” during Iran’s missile and drone strikes on the air base of Saudi Prince Sultan. The strike hit a key part of the aircraft near its tail. Tasnim also released comparison images from before and after the U.S. airborne early warning aircraft was attacked that day. The images show that a structural break occurred in the mid-to-rear section of the plane, and the tail had separated from the fuselage. (Xinhua)
