Macron Dismisses US Complaints Over Iran Mission
(MENAFN) French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday rejected criticism from Washington regarding France’s role in the Iran conflict, emphasizing that the military campaign is not a French operation.
“They (the US and Israel) can afterwards complain that they are not being helped in this operation they decided on their own, it is not our operation,” Macron told reporters while visiting South Korea.
He also characterized any military effort to “liberate” the Strait of Hormuz as “unrealistic.”
In addition, Macron addressed comments made by Donald Trump regarding his personal life, stating that they were “neither elegant nor up to standard.” “I will not respond; it does not deserve a reply,” he added.
