Coca-Cola plans to invest $1 billion in South Africa to expand production

Gelonghui April 1|Coca-Cola and its two authorized bottlers—The Coca-Cola South Africa Company and Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages Company—plan to invest 17.6 billion rand (about $1.05 billion) in South Africa by 2030 to support the expansion of production capacity. Luis Felipe Avellar, President of Coca-Cola’s Africa business division, announced the news on Tuesday evening at an investment meeting in Johannesburg. Meanwhile, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has set a goal to attract 2 trillion rand in new investment over the next five years.
