German-Chinese Entrepreneurs Business Summit Discusses the "Chinese Market"
The German-Chinese Entrepreneurs Business Summit was held in Lennep, North Rhine-Westphalia (North Rhine-Westphalia), not long ago. German political and business circles believe that the Chinese market remains an important attraction for German companies, and they expect both sides to further strengthen pragmatic cooperation. Olaf Höppner, CEO of the premium German cookware brand SiemensMatic, said that China has become an important market in companies’ global expansion plans, that “Made in Germany” still has appeal in the Chinese market, and that “in the long run, the Chinese market will continue to grow.” Milko Schmidt, an official from the Haerford area of North Rhine-Westphalia, said in an interview with reporters that maintaining close cooperation with China is of great significance to the development of the local German economy. Many local companies have long been deeply engaged in the Chinese market, and their cooperation foundations are solid across multiple fields such as machinery manufacturing and home accessory products, with considerable room for further expansion in the future. In his remarks, Yu Yong, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in Düsseldorf, said that the Chinese side is willing to work with German local governments and the business community to firmly support the liberalization, facilitation, and convenience of trade and investment, maintain the stability and smooth functioning of global industrial and supply chains, and promote pragmatic cooperation between the companies of both sides in more areas and at deeper levels. The event was hosted by organizations including the Haerford German-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association. Attendees believe that although uncertainties exist in the external environment, the foundation for China-Germany cooperation is solid, the willingness to cooperate continues to strengthen, and there is broad room for development in the future.
