On April 1, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a statement on its official website saying that, regarding issues with the cross-border e-commerce import “USYBI” health supplement—allegedly involving falsification of origin, false advertising, and other problems reported by the media—the State Council Food Safety Office, the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the General Administration of Customs attached great importance to the matter. They immediately organized the relevant market regulation departments and customs authorities in the areas involved to conduct investigations and verification, strictly investigate and deal with illegal and non-compliant conduct, effectively maintain market order, and protect consumers’ lawful rights and interests.
