“Middle East’s Highest Bridge” Attacked, Leaving 8 Dead and 95 Injured,
Trump Pressures Iran With a Bombing-the-Bridge Video!
Iran’s Foreign Minister: We Will Not Surrender
On April 2, U.S. President Donald Trump posted a video on social media, saying that airstrikes destroyed Iran’s “largest bridge,” putting pressure on Iran and the United States to “reach an agreement.” Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian responded, saying that destroying civilian facilities would not force Iran to surrender.
According to Iranian media, the Karaj-Beik Freeway Bridge, described as the Middle East’s highest bridge and a signature engineering masterpiece of Iran, was damaged by an airstrike by the United States and Israel on April 2. The airstrike caused the deaths of 8 civilians, with another 95 people injured. The relevant stretch of road has been fully closed.
Trump posted an airstrike video on social media, saying the bridge is “no longer usable,” hinting that more similar airstrikes may follow. He added that “Iran should reach an agreement before it’s too late.”
Amir-Abdollahian posted a response on social media, saying that destroying civilian infrastructure, including bridges that are not yet completed, cannot force Iran to surrender.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian posted images on social media on April 2 showing the aftermath of the attack on the Karaj-Beik Freeway Bridge
Amir-Abdollahian said that such actions only show the failure and collapse of morale of the “enemy thrown into chaos.” He emphasized that every bridge and building that is destroyed will be rebuilt—“stronger,” and that the established fact that “America’s position has been damaged” will be irreversible.
It is reported that the Beik Freeway Bridge is a benchmark project in Iran’s engineering community, regarded as one of the world’s most complex engineering achievements. It is part of the core road infrastructure of the Tehran–Karaj transportation corridor and was originally planned to be officially put into operation in the near term.
Iran: Strike on the U.S. Oracle and Amazon data centers
A statement issued by the naval command of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said that strikes were carried out against the U.S. Oracle company’s data center in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, as well as the Amazon company’s data center in Bahrain. However, the UAE Dubai media office posted on its social media in the early hours of April 3 local time, denying that Iran carried out an attack on Dubai’s Oracle data center.
On April 2, the Revolutionary Guard said that in the 90th strike in the third phase of the “True Commitment 4” military operation, activities had begun, targeting the Amazon cloud computing center in Bahrain.
The statement said that this Amazon cloud computing center “is linked to espionage activities,” and that this strike is the “first concrete warning” to related attack operations.
On March 31, the IRGC had issued an announcement saying it would list as “lawful strike targets” companies and institutions connected to 18 U.S. information and communications technology and artificial intelligence firms in the Middle East region. In the announcement, the IRGC listed 18 companies, the vast majority of which are U.S. high-tech firms, including: Cisco, HP, Intel, Oracle, Microsoft, Apple, Google, the “Meta” company, IBM, Dell, Palantir Technologies, NVIDIA, JPMorgan Chase, Tesla, General Electric, and Boeing.
Iran’s Speaker: “Each and every one of us
will become a warrior on this land”
Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on April 2 published an article on social media, making a tough statement about the current security situation in Iran and the nation’s mobilization. He stressed that Iran is ready for full-scale defense, and that any external aggression will be met with a firm counterattack.

In the article, Ghalibaf reviewed the steadfast course of Iranian people defending the country’s sovereignty, saying that to protect their homeland, the Iranian people have always been ready to step forward. “We are not warlike, but whenever it is necessary to defend the homeland, each and every one of us will become a warrior on this land.”
Ghalibaf said that in less than a week, about 7 million Iranian people took the initiative to step forward, swearing to take up arms to stand ready to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In the article, Ghalibaf emphasized that Iran has made all necessary preparations and will resolutely defend sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity—“ready to make sacrifices and shed blood.”
Iranian military: The Strait of Hormuz will continue to be closed to the U.S. and Israel
Late on April 2 local time, Seyyed Sardar Shekarchi, a senior spokesman for Iran’s armed forces, said that the Strait of Hormuz will continue to be closed to the United States and Israel. He said, “Our strategy is to punish the aggressors until they completely repent, and to ensure that the Iranian people are forever free from threats.”
Shekarchi also responded to comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump. He said Trump’s speech “is always full of contempt for the world,” and that the U.S. decision to wage war on Iran was based on wrong assessments and calculations, and that it carried out aggression against the Iranian people without any reason. “We are waiting for the start of U.S. ground operations, because we will give them a lesson.”
On the evening of April 1, U.S. Eastern Time, Trump delivered a brief television address at the White House, claiming on his own that the war against Iran had achieved “rapid, decisive, overwhelming victory.”
