The main stream of the Western Liao River has once again achieved full connectivity across the entire line in spring.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, the water replenishment head on the XiLiao River main stream reached Anletun in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region today (April 5). It connects with the existing water surfaces downstream, and the XiLiao River main stream achieved full linkage as scheduled. This marks an important progress in spring dispatch operations, and the results of ecological dispatch have been consolidated and improved. The Ministry of Water Resources officially launched spring dispatch on March 1, making full use of various water sources such as reservoir storage, channel storage, ice-melt water, and externally diverted water to fully ensure water passage along the river. After 36 days, the replenishment head merged with the existing downstream waters, successfully achieving the goal of full linkage. (CCTV News)
