People’s Finance News, April 5. Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó said on April 5 in Budapest, local time, that given the increasingly frequent attacks on the “Turkish Stream” natural gas pipeline, Hungary will provide military protection for the Hungarian section of the “Turkish Stream” natural gas pipeline, including the stretch from the Serbia–Hungary border to the Slovakia–Hungary border. Szijjártó said that Ukraine first blew up the “Nord Stream” natural gas pipeline, and then shut down the “Friendship” oil pipeline, cutting off Russia’s oil supply to Hungary and Slovakia. In recent weeks, Ukraine has used dozens of drones to attack the “Turkish Stream” pipeline located within Russia’s territory as well, which also transports natural gas to Hungary. That day, Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán said on social media that Serbian President Vučić informed him that near key gas infrastructure connecting Serbia and Hungary, explosives with destructive power and triggering devices were found. Relevant investigations are ongoing. It is reported that Serbian military police found two backpacks and two large bundles of explosives a few hundred meters from the “Turkish Stream” natural gas pipeline. (CCTV News)
