People’s Financial News, March 24 — According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, on March 23, 2026, Vice Foreign Minister Miao Deyu met with WIPO Director General Daren Tang during his visit to China. Miao Deyu stated that this year marks the beginning of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan, and China will focus on promoting high-quality development, expanding high-level opening-up, and creating an open and innovative ecosystem with global competitiveness. China is willing to strengthen strategic alignment with WIPO, deepen cooperation across various fields, and foster an international environment conducive to innovation and development. Daren Tang congratulated China on its achievements in technological innovation and intellectual property, highly praised China’s contributions to maintaining multilateralism and advancing international cooperation on intellectual property, and thanked China for its support of WIPO’s work. He expressed willingness to further deepen practical cooperation with China.
