Meituan customer service stated that the issue mainly occurs in rare cases on Android systems when the app’s automatic cache clearing encounters conflicts with third-party SDKs, leading to abnormal behavior. Customer service clarified that this problem only affects the user’s local device system; Meituan app does not read, store, or transfer any user personal data, and user privacy and account information remain unaffected.
It is understood that after discovering the issue, Meituan established a dedicated technical support team, working with professional security technology teams to help affected users recover their data. Currently, Meituan customer service has apologized to each affected user and will bear all costs and compensate for any losses.
