Official says the possibility of a US-Iran deal is "negligible"!
According to CCTV News, on March 24 local time, Israeli officials stated that the likelihood of the United States and Iran reaching an agreement is “very slim.”
It is reported that the disagreements are not only due to the U.S. demands—including restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missiles, and freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz—but also stem from Iran’s demands.
Two sources involved in the mediation said, “Currently, Iran insists that the U.S. make concessions and guarantees that no further actions will be taken against Iran in any agreement.”
On February 28, the U.S. and Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran, during which Iran’s then-Supreme Leader Khamenei was targeted and killed. Subsequently, Iran launched retaliatory strikes against U.S. military bases and Israeli targets in the Middle East.
On March 23, U.S. President Trump stated that the United States is in negotiations with Iran to determine whether a broader agreement can be reached. Trump said, “This time, Iran is serious; they want to reach a reconciliation. The U.S. has cleared all targets within Iran, including its leadership.”
