According to the China Manned Space Agency, in 2026, China’s manned space program will deepen the development and application of the space station and advance lunar exploration missions. In 2026, plans include two crewed missions and one cargo spacecraft resupply mission. Astronauts from Hong Kong and Macau are expected to conduct space station flights as early as this year, with one crew member of Shenzhou 23 to undertake a one-year residency experiment. So far, the development of major spacecraft such as the Long March 10 launch vehicle, Dream Ship crewed spacecraft, and lunar landing module has progressed smoothly. In 2026, efforts will be made to accelerate the construction of supporting facilities for the lunar landing mission at the Wenchang Space Launch Site, as well as the development of ground support systems including tracking, communication, and landing site infrastructure.
