Chewy (CHWY) Is About to Report Q4 Earnings. Here Is What to Expect
Chewy CHWY +0.94% ▲ , a provider of pet food and supplies, is scheduled to announce its results for the fourth quarter of Fiscal 2025 on Wednesday, March 25. CHWY stock has declined 29% year-to-date due to concerns about a slowdown in top-line growth amid competition from larger players like Amazon AMZN +2.32% ▲ and Walmart WMT +1.43% ▲ and macro pressures. Wall Street expects Chewy to report GAAP earnings per share (EPS) of $0.09 for Q4 FY25 compared to $0.05 in the prior-year quarter. Meanwhile, net sales are projected to rise by only 0.6% to $3.27 billion.

Analysts’ Views Ahead of Chewy’s Q4 Earnings
Heading into Q4 FY25 earnings, Piper Sandler analyst Anna Andreeva reiterated a Buy rating on Chewy stock with a price target of $48. The analyst noted that the buy-side has been “leaning negative,” given the expectation of a conservative Fiscal 2026 sales outlook. However, Andreeva views the current estimate of a 90-basis-point improvement in the EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) margin as reasonable and achievable.
Andreeva believes that the focus will be on new pet ownership, pricing updates, and progress on the company’s over 10% EBITDA margin target. The analyst lowered her 2026 sales growth estimate to 7% from 8%, given the expectation of a conservative outlook, “but with a goal to be in the beat and raise mode as we go through the year.”
Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley analyst Nathan Feather slightly lowered his price target for Chewy stock to $50 from $51, while reiterating a Buy rating. The analyst expects Q4 FY25 results to set the tone for 2026. Feather is modestly positive on Q4 2025 earnings release, though he expects most of the potential upside to materialize through the year as Chewy improves its performance and earnings estimates move higher.
AI Analyst Is Cautious on CHWY Stock
TipRanks’ AI Analyst has a Neutral rating on Chewy stock with a price target of $26, indicating 11.3% upside potential. The AI Analyst noted improving financial performance and strong cash generation, with continued growth in Chewy’s Autoship subscription service and improving profitability. However, these positives are offset by weak technical momentum and a high P/E (price-to-earnings) multiple.
Is Chewy Stock a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
Despite investor concerns, Wall Street has a Strong Buy consensus rating on Chewy stock based on 11 unanimous Buys. The average CHWY stock price target of $44.40 indicates 90% upside potential.
