Initial confirmation shows 2 students dead and 11 students injured. Upon receiving the report, the Emergency Management Ministry immediately deployed measures, requiring all efforts to rescue the injured and minimize casualties to the greatest extent possible; promptly ascertain the cause of the accident and pursue accountability in accordance with law and regulations. The Emergency Management Ministry has coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Public Security to form a working group that is rushing to the scene to guide disposal efforts. The State Council Safety Commission Office has decided to place the incident under supervised investigation with a placard, requiring Guizhou Province to conduct an upgraded investigation of the accident.
