Today, Shanghai Metal Market spot price is 24,370-24,470 RMB/ton, with an average of 24,420 RMB/ton, up 100 RMB/ton from the previous trading day. The SHFE zinc 2604 contract is trading at a discount of 200 to 100 RMB/ton. In the morning session, zinc prices remained weak and volatile. By the close, the main SHFE zinc contract fell by 125 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.51%. Today’s spot trading remains weak, with relatively ample market circulation. Holders are actively offering goods, but downstream consumption is weak, resulting in average transaction volume. Traders report an average price about +20 RMB, while domestic prices for the 04 contract follow the market at around -80 RMB. (SHMET)
