Recently, motorcycle influencer “Yellow Grease” was reported to have had a serious accident while test-driving the Zhang Xue 820RR engineering prototype “off-road” and unfortunately passed away. On March 22, a friend of “Yellow Grease” named Da Sheng told Jimu News that on March 20, the 35-year-old motorcycle influencer “Yellow Grease” died in an accident while evaluating a vehicle on Changchizhi Road, Changping, Beijing. A staff member from the Changping Traffic Police Accident Investigation Unit told Jimu News that the influencer “Yellow Grease” did have a motorcycle accident that day, but more details are not available.

“He was a very skilled rider, had previously ridden on tracks, and no one expected such an accident. The specific cause of the accident is still under investigation,” Da Sheng told reporters. “Yellow Grease” was always cheerful and straightforward in personality, well-known in Beijing’s motorcycle community. Another friend of “Yellow Grease” said, “The news of his untimely death is now known across the internet.” A staff member at Zhang Xue Motorcycle Changping Store said, “The accident happened during off-road riding in Changping, and the cause is still under investigation.” A staff member from the Changping Traffic Police Accident Investigation Unit stated, “Yellow Grease” did have a motorcycle accident that day, but more details are not available; inquiries can be made with his family.

On March 19, “Yellow Grease” publicly released a video pointing out issues with the hydraulic clutch of the test vehicle. Later, he posted another video saying “the clutch problem has been resolved,” and an engineer advised him not to go off-road. On March 3 last year, “Yellow Grease” repeatedly reminded fans in a video that March to May is the peak season for motorcycle accidents. He also compiled data on 50 motorcycle accidents in Beijing during this period. It is known that “Yellow Grease” became popular in the motorcycle community for his fearless testing of vehicle flaws, with 117,000 followers.
