The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection announced that Zhou Liang, a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, is under serious disciplinary and legal investigation. He is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervisory investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.

According to information, Zhou Liang was born in October 1971. He has served as Deputy Secretary-General of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, Executive Deputy Minister and Minister (Deputy Minister level) of the Organization Department of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. In November 2017, he was appointed Vice Chairman and Party Committee Member of the China Banking Regulatory Commission; in March 2018, he became Vice Chairman and Party Committee Member of the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission; in August 2018, he also served as Vice Chairman of the China Financial Workers’ Union. In May 2023, he was appointed as a member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the China Financial Regulatory Administration.
