A 5.0 magnitude earthquake occurs in the Lima region of Peru

According to the National Seismological Center of the Peruvian Geophysical Institute, at 18:21 local time on February 26, a magnitude 5.0 earthquake occurred 36 kilometers west of Chirka, Canete Province, in the central coastal region of Lima. The earthquake’s depth was 53 kilometers. There was a noticeable tremor in the capital city of Lima. No reports of casualties or property damage have been received at this time. (CCTV News)
