Google releases Android 17 Beta 2: launches EyeDropper color picker API and introduces the new Bubbles window mode
Tech Home, February 27 — Google has now released Android 17 Beta 2, less than two weeks after the first Android 17 Beta. Currently, Google Pixel and Lenovo Moto users can update to try it out.
According to reports, Android 17 Beta 2 officially introduces the EyeDropper color picker API, allowing apps to accurately pick colors from screen content while avoiding privacy issues.
Additionally, Beta 2 introduces a new “Bubbles” window mode, which is very suitable for foldable phones and other large-screen devices, providing a better multitasking experience.
Google also revealed that Android 17 Beta 2 includes a series of system-level optimizations, such as improved trackpad support and more precise timezone handling.
