NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang praised the open-source AI agent OpenClaw at the GTC conference on Monday, stating that companies cannot ignore the transformative moment brought by OpenClaw.

“Today, every company worldwide must develop an OpenClaw strategy and an intelligent agent system strategy,” Huang said. “This is the new form of computing.”

Huang highly evaluated OpenClaw. Previously known as Clawdbot and Moltbot, OpenClaw is an open-source AI agent that has sparked a craze in Silicon Valley. Although OpenAI recruited OpenClaw founder Peter Steinberger, the service continues to exist as an open-source project.

“OpenClaw allows us to create personalized intelligent agents,” he emphasized. “Its profound impact is beyond imagination.”

Comparable to Windows’ Impact on Personal Computing

Huang pointed out that OpenClaw “comes at the right time to bring what the entire industry needs most.”

He said that the significance of OpenClaw for AI is comparable to Windows’ revolution in personal computing. In other words, OpenClaw, like Windows did for personal computers, will make AI agents accessible to every ordinary person.

“It enables the entire industry to leverage this open-source tech stack to create value,” Huang stated.

Security Concerns

However, Huang also noted a major consideration regarding the use of OpenClaw: security.

NVIDIA announced the launch of a customized version based on OpenClaw called NemoClaw, which allows users to add privacy and security controls to their AI agents.

“It has network barriers and privacy routers, so we can protect and prevent these agents from executing tasks freely within our company, ensuring safe usage,” Huang explained.

NVIDIA is promoting NemoClaw through a “Build Your Agent” activity at the conference, where attendees can develop their own customized AI agents.

“OpenClaw brings people closer to AI, helping create a world where everyone has their own dedicated intelligent agent,” said Steinberger, founder of OpenClaw, in a statement released by NVIDIA. “With NVIDIA and the broader ecosystem, we are building these agents and their protective barriers, enabling anyone to create powerful and secure AI assistants.”

On Monday, Huang also announced several other updates at the NVIDIA GTC conference, including the launch of a new inference system integrated with Groq technology. Groq is an AI chip startup that NVIDIA acquired for $20 billion.

He also predicted that by 2027, the market demand for its Blackwell and Rubin AI chips will reach $1 trillion. (Author: Xiao Yu)
