I just Spoke to someone recently making $30 per hour with a master’s degree.

They earn ~$4,530/mo & after all taxes/insurance etc. they take home ~$3,427/mo.
Rent is $1,700/mo and they try and fit the rest of their life into $1,727/mo.
$30/hr is not what it used to be.
