Mars Finance News: On March 10th, according to official sources, the artificial intelligence company “Advanced Machine Intelligence Labs” (AMI Labs), founded by former Meta Platforms Chief AI Scientist Yann LeCun, announced the completion of a $1.03 billion (approximately €890 million) funding round. Cathay Innovation, Greycroft, Hiro Capital, HV Capital, and Bezos Expeditions led the investment, along with other investors and angel investors from around the world. This funding round has increased the valuation of the French company to $3.5 billion. Although LeCun considers Meta a “partner, but not an investor,” Meta did not participate in this funding round. Yann LeCun stated that AMI Labs aims to develop an artificial intelligence with intelligence comparable to that of adult humans, capable of reasoning, planning, understanding the physical world, and autonomously learning from very few samples.
