NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang positions artificial intelligence as an industry that requires trillions of dollars in infrastructure and a large workforce to build, in order to dispel concerns about AI potentially leading to unemployment. In an article, he outlined a "five-layer cake" model, starting with energy as the fundamental constraint, followed by chips, physical infrastructure, models, and applications. Huang believes that real-time intelligent generation of AI requires specially built systems, creating skilled jobs such as electricians and network technicians. Using radiology as an example, he pointed out that AI has increased productivity and demand, and mentioned that open-source models like DeepSeek-R1 have accelerated AI adoption and the growth of infrastructure needs.
