Xinhua News Agency, New York, March 9 — International oil prices rose significantly on the 9th.

By the close of trading, West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures for April delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange increased by $3.87, closing at $94.77 per barrel, a gain of 4.26%. Brent crude oil futures for May delivery in London rose by $6.27, closing at $98.96 per barrel, a gain of 6.76%.
