CoinWorld News, ME News reports that on March 10 (UTC+8), the first and second issues of the 2026 Savings Bonds began selling to individual investors today at multiple banks including ICBC, ABC, and CCB. Both bonds are bearer bonds, with a minimum purchase of 100 yuan. The first batch of 2026 Savings Bonds issued from today until March 19 are as follows: the first issue has a 3-year term with an annual interest rate of 1.63% and a maximum issuance of 15 billion yuan; the second issue has a 5-year term with an annual interest rate of 1.7% and a maximum issuance of 15 billion yuan. It is understood that after purchasing the bonds, individuals can redeem them early in case of urgent need. However, interest will only accrue if held for more than six months, and early redemption will result in a loss of interest.
