Kazakhstan Producer Inflation at 3-Month High

Kazakhstan’s annual producer inflation rose to 6.4% in February 2026 from 4% in the previous month, marking the highest level since November 2025. Prices rose in manufacturing (17.8% vs 14.5% in January), while prices rebounded in water supply, sanitation, waste collection, treatment, disposal and pollution control activities (5.3% vs -8.1%). At the same time, deflation in mining and quarrying eased (-6.1% vs -8.3%). Meanwhile, costs slowed in electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning (13.6% vs 17.7%). On a monthly basis, producer prices picked up to 2.7% in February, following a 0.5% increase in January.
