Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received Sunday a phone call from HM King Felipe VI of Spain.

During the call, HM the King voiced Spain’s solidarity with the State of Qatar following the blatant Iranian attacks, stressing his country’s support for Qatar in preserving its sovereignty and the security of its territory and citizens. His Majesty also commended the State of Qatar’s efforts in managing the current crisis, praising the efficiency of the measures taken and their success in maintaining security and stability.

For his part, HH the Amir reassured HM the King about the situation of the Spanish community, stressing that they enjoy care and attention, while at the same time praising Spain’s efforts in supporting everything that would end the war and contain its repercussions.

The call also discussed the latest developments in the region in light of the continued Iranian aggression and its serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability. Both sides stressed the need for an immediate halt to the military escalation and prevent its spread.
