Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited (00215)
Announces 2025 Results, Total Revenue of HKD 5.448 billion, Up 17% Year-on-Year;
Hong Kong Customer Service Revenue Net HKD 3.619 billion, Up 6% Year-on-Year.
However, the Group recorded a loss of HKD 25 million, compared to a profit of HKD 6 million in 2024;
Earnings per share: a loss of 0.52 HK cents.

Hutchison Hong Kong maintains a final dividend of HKD 0.0521 per share;
Total annual dividend of HKD 0.0749, unchanged from the previous year.
Based on Monday’s (March 9) closing price, the dividend yield is 6.4%.

Review of Dividend Policy

Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong states that in January this year, it sold all of its 3 Macau interests for HKD 110 million, allowing the group to more effectively allocate resources to Hong Kong operations to improve performance and stabilize overall business.
With strengthened cash position and improved profitability, the Board will review the dividend policy.

One-time Provision for Macau Business

The group’s profit from Hong Kong operations in 2025 is HKD 18 million, down 42% year-on-year, mainly due to decreased bank interest income, while EBIT increased 6% to HKD 18 million.
Macau operations recorded a one-time provision for a loss-making contract.
Excluding this one-time provision, the group’s attributable profit to shareholders would be HKD 5 million.
Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong’s capital expenditure remains stable at HKD 433 million.

Significant Growth in Roaming and Hardware Revenue

Last year, Hutchison Hong Kong’s hardware revenue in Hong Kong was HKD 1.829 billion, a sharp increase of 50% year-on-year;
local service revenue was HKD 2.764 billion, stable year-on-year;
roaming service revenue reached HKD 855 million, up 31% year-on-year.
Despite revenue growth, gross profit declined slightly by 1% to HKD 2.914 billion, mainly due to a decrease in gross profit from customer services.

5G Penetration Rate Rises to 62%, Prepaid Customers Surge

Key performance indicators as of the end of 2025 show that the postpaid customer base in Hong Kong is approximately 1.289 million, down 2% year-on-year;
average revenue per user (ARPU) for postpaid customers is HKD 149, up 1%;
benefiting from ongoing upgrades to 5G mobile services, the 5G penetration rate increased by 8 percentage points to 62%;
monthly churn rate for postpaid customers slightly improved to 0.9%, better than 1.0% in 2024.
However, the number of prepaid customers surged 116% to 6.843 million.
