China News Service Beijing, March 5 (Li Xiao) Beijing officially released the list of key city projects for 2026, the “Three 100s” initiative. Beijing Economic-Technological Development Zone (also known as “Beijing Yizhuang”) has 28 key projects selected, the highest number among all districts in the city. In addition to ongoing projects, Beijing Yizhuang will start 10 new municipal key projects this year, striving to maintain fixed asset investment of over 100 billion yuan throughout the year and drive high-quality development with high-quality projects.

It is reported that the 28 projects selected as municipal key projects this year in Beijing Yizhuang cover major technological innovation and modern industry projects, significant infrastructure projects, and major livelihood improvement projects. Leading international companies such as Sanofi, Shouyao Holdings, BOE, and CATL are investing in expansion and establishing factories, providing strong support for accelerating the creation of a new quality productivity demonstration zone and an internationally first-class high-end industrial comprehensive new city in Beijing Yizhuang.

Specifically, the industrial projects included in this year’s key projects mainly focus on emerging and future industries such as new energy vehicles, healthcare, and commercial aerospace. These will promote new expansion of Beijing Yizhuang’s industrial landscape and inject new vitality into building a modern industrial system. For example, the Aerospace Intelligent Manufacturing Headquarters and Lightweight Components Industrialization Base will conduct R&D on key issues such as heat expansion technology, aircraft skin stretching equipment, and aircraft engine parts, building production lines for heat expansion forming equipment, vehicle body beam structures, and aircraft fuselage components, supplying well-known vehicle manufacturers in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Infrastructure and livelihood improvement projects involve transportation infrastructure, water projects, housing and community services, education, and garden city construction, demonstrating Beijing Yizhuang’s commitment to continuously optimizing urban functions and improving people’s well-being. For example, to enhance the allocation of high-quality educational resources, Beijing Yizhuang will start construction of six supporting primary schools and the Beijing Normal University Affiliated Middle School Yizhuang School this year. The establishment of these schools will meet the demand for quality education among residents, improve their sense of gain and happiness, and support talent recruitment and retention efforts in the future.

Currently, as the Spring Festival holiday ends, key ongoing projects such as the Baisis Key Biological Reagents R&D, Production, and Technical Service Capacity Enhancement Demonstration Project and the Beijing Times Battery Base are resuming work. Construction is in full swing, with several projects like the SMC (China) R&D Center expected to be completed this year. Additionally, projects such as Shouyao Holdings’ new drug R&D and industrialization base and the Beijing Normal University Affiliated Middle School Yizhuang School will start construction this year. More than half of the new municipal key projects plan to begin construction in the first half of the year.

An official from the Beijing Yizhuang Economic Development Bureau stated that by 2025, fixed asset investment in Beijing Yizhuang had maintained a scale of over 100 billion yuan for three consecutive years. In 2026, aiming for a fourth consecutive year of over 100 billion yuan in fixed asset investment, the district will continue to leverage the guiding role of key city projects, establish and improve a full lifecycle service guarantee system for project construction, and promote key projects from “planning” to “construction” and “real scene” stages. Steady investment growth will support the sustained positive development of the regional economy. (End)
