Mars Finance News: Iranian Ambassador to China Fazli stated that Iran’s constitution clearly stipulates the procedures and processes for selecting a new national leader. Fazli said that during the period from the death of the outgoing leader to the election of the new leader, Iranian affairs are managed by an interim leadership committee. The committee is composed of the Iranian president, the head of the Iranian judiciary, and a representative from the Iranian Expert Assembly. He said, “In the past 9 days, Iran has organized an interim leadership committee, and the Iranian Expert Assembly is also fulfilling its duties to select a new leader. Yesterday, they reached an agreement to choose Mojtaba Khamenei among several candidates as the new leader, and he now meets all the criteria required by Iran’s constitution for a leader.”
