The New York City Police Department announced on the 7th that an officer died “due to illness” while performing support duties for military operations against Iran in Kuwait on the 6th. The NYPD issued a statement saying the deceased officer served in the 42nd Infantry Division of the U.S. Army National Guard and held the rank of Major. He joined the NYPD in 2014.
