Abstract generation in progress

As of February 25, 2026, China’s methanol port inventory totaled 1.4467 million tons, an increase of 14,500 tons from the previous period. Among them, East China experienced a slight drawdown, with inventories decreasing by 500 tons; South China saw accumulation, with inventories increasing by 15,000 tons. This period’s methanol port inventory saw a narrow accumulation compared to before the holiday. Although the unloading speed both inside and outside the cycle was moderate (24.24 thousand tons unloaded in two weeks), holiday restrictions on pickup also contributed to consumption. Some port areas along the Jiangsu coast had ships supporting pickup, but road transport pickup was sparse, leading to inventory accumulation under external ship supply. Downstream in Zhejiang remained stable, with fewer ship unloadings causing inventories to decrease. South China ports saw a slight accumulation this week. During the cycle, imports and domestic ships arrived at Guangdong ports, but due to the holiday, mainstream warehouses experienced a significant reduction in pickup volume, resulting in inventory buildup. Fujian had no ship cargo replenishment, and downstream operations slowed down, leading to a slowdown in consumption. Pickup was average, and inventories saw a narrow drawdown.
