Artificial Intelligence Cases Supreme Court: Accurately Grasp the "Tolerance" Space for Technological Innovation

Chief Justice Zhang Jun of the Supreme People’s Court stated in the report that AI-related cases should be properly and lawfully handled, accurately understanding the “fault tolerance” space for technological innovation. In a case where a generative AI service provided an error, the developer had fulfilled their duty of care and did not actually harm the plaintiff’s rights, so the court ruled no infringement. Actions that use AI to infringe on others’ legal rights or disrupt social order will be firmly regulated according to law to promote technology for good. (CCTV News)
