Affected by the escalation of Middle East conflicts and shipping disruptions, crude oil prices have broken through $100 per barrel for the first time since 2022. Brent crude oil prices have risen 18% to around $109 per barrel, continuing last week's 28% increase. The ongoing conflict in Iran, major oil-producing countries reducing output, and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz have all come to a halt.
