Generac To Acquire Enercon Engineering To Expand Data Center And Switchgear Capabilities

Generac Holdings has signed an agreement to acquire Enercon Engineering, Inc., aiming to boost its capabilities in generator enclosures and switchgear for the rapidly growing data center and mission-critical markets. Enercon, known for its custom power equipment and industrial enclosures, will operate as “Enercon, a Generac company,” with its current leadership remaining in place. This acquisition aligns with Generac’s strategy to double its Commercial & Industrial product sales, particularly in backup generators for data centers, by leveraging Enercon’s expertise and manufacturing facilities.
