The Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) received a $42,000 rebate from Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E) for completing an energy-efficient lighting retrofit project at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) facility. This initiative involved replacing fluorescent bulbs with LEDs, leading to an annual saving of 131,364 kilowatt hours and $8,000 in electric costs. The project highlights OMES’s commitment to modernizing state buildings, reducing utility consumption, and saving taxpayer dollars through sustainable practices.
